Range hood

Do range hoods have a different name in the States? You know the thing that sucks out all the hot steamy air when you are cooking? Anyway today Caleb and my brother Simon put up one in our kitchen.

As you can see Caleb loves projects like this and he was super excited for the building to begin.

Simon's wife Josie came over also and we just cleaned up after the boys and ordered the pizza for lunch.

It was pretty exciting when the boys finished because it was the last really big thing that had to be done to the kitchen. We have a few more little jobs but we are almost finished!

Haircut for Caleb

Caleb saw his photo on the last blog post and decided he needed a haircut and beard trim....he cut his own hair and did a pretty great job.

Vikings

As some of you know we are both pretty big Vikings fans, this was a sad weekend....

Board Games

This weekend is the National Board Game Convention here in Canberra. People from all around the country come to play in tournaments (like settlers) or to show the new games they have invented. Caleb and our friends Cathy & Henry are making a documentary about the event, below is a picture of Henry & Caleb.

Grouting

As some of you may have heard Caleb and I have been renovating our kitchen for the last two 1/2 years. This morning I took a very large step towards finishing that renovation. I grouted the tiles! After returning for the states
in December (being motivated by watching countless hours of HGTV) we decided to grout our kitchen. We did about half, then lost interest......until today when I gained my interest back! Caleb went out with some mates to film a documentary and I stayed home and finished this large job.

I have some included some photos, me looking pooped after finishing (keep in mind it is wicked hot here at the moment, this last week has been in the 100's) and the section I finished.

Blog One

I'm a really bad speller, I don't write funny or witty remarks and I don't have cute kids. Three very good reasons why I shouldn't write a blog. But I do have a family that lives overseas, a family that blogs overseas and I do have a cute husband. Three very good reasons why I should write a blog.
Caleb and I aren't very good at emailing and keeping everyone up to date with our lives....so hopefully this will do the trick.
Also side note, just because I work in photography please don't expect the photos to be amazing, they will be taken on my iphone.
