So, So Long

Hello friends and family, sorry it's been a while....I'm having trouble keeping up with multiple blogs. Just wanted to send you all a quick note to let you know what we have been up to :)

1. We moved house (I'll show you pictures once it looks good).

2. We went to church camp at the end of last year which was heaps of fun.

3. Christmas was lovely with my family.

4. Caleb's app is selling really well in the app store.

5. I'm getting booked for lots of weddings.

Moving House

The last little while

Life has been busy the last little while, I've been shooting weddings every weekend (keep up to date with that side of my life if you are interested), Caleb is still writing an iphone app with his friend Michael (it's going to be amazing!) they should be finishing any day now and we exchanged on our house....it looks like we will move in about a month.

a couple of weeks ago we found a mexican place at the markets, I think it's the best we have found so far.

That same weekend we went to Henry and Tuli's house cause they had their baby, Gunther. He is so cute, so we went to a meet Gunther party.

lot's of our friends have friends have kids now and Henry & Tuli aren't the only ones with two....crazy!

The last little while

hello ten friends who read my blog.

we have a few little things that have happened lately that might interest you.

1. caleb and i are trying as many new restaurants as possible, last week we went to Pulp Kitchen with our friends blaise and kyara. it was a really fun night with great food, if any of you come and visit we will be having lots of good food places you take to.

2. last weekend was fathers day here in australia, so went to my parents house for lunch.

3. it's now spring...i'm so excited, the blossoms are out!

this also means.....flip flops, i hate shoes!

4. the start of the nfl season, caleb skipped work on friday and we went to cameron's house (the only other vikings fan we know in canberra). we ate hot dogs and wings and we lost.

New Phone

Once again I've been getting behind on my blogging, one day I'll be a lady of leisure and I'll have time to blog all day long....I'm thinking that should happen in about 40 years. I'm pretty excited about that.

We have been pretty busy lately with work and friends. Caleb and I have been trying new restaurants every couple of weeks. I'll have to start telling you about our dining experiences. Tonight we are going out with Hen & Tuli for Caleb's birthday and we are going to try Kingsley's Steakhouse. Caleb is excited.

A couple of weeks ago something very important happened, the iphone 4 came out in Australia. And of course who wanted one the day it came out?

This young man did. I had a gig the night before and was up very late....but still Caleb woke me up at 4:30am....I told him to go away. He woke me up at 5:30am and me being the caring wife I am got up and drove to mall with him to line up. We were the second in line.

Now you may ask "why Amanda did you have to go?", well my name is on the contract so I was the only on who could change over our plan....awesome.

It's now the start of the wedding season so I'm getting pretty busy...above is a picture Tuli took of me at a wedding we did a couple of weeks ago, I thought it was funny.

Birthday Week

Hello friends, it's been a few weeks....why haven't I blogged? Because it's been my birthday week! (Thanks for all the birthday wishes, cards, emails and presents)

Caleb and I went away to a cabin in the mountains for the weekend.

Side note: has anyone noticed the red bull pully thingys have a little bull on them now....amazing.

Then we monday after we got back from the cabin we had a family birthday dinner, Josie's birthday is the day before mine.....we requested an ice cream cake....it was awesome!

Then this last weekend we had a birthday mexican feast with a few friends...Caleb was a very good husband and cooked.

Balloons & Sydney Friends

Hello friends, well as usual we have been doing heaps of exciting things here in Canberra! Yesterday we kayaked to New Zealand and back, then this morning I swam through the mouth of a live volcano whilst carrying Caleb on my back. Then to finish the weekend off we took a short 100km run through a crocodile infested swamp....yeah I know a little bit boring.

Ok maybe that might be a little bit of a fib, but sometimes I feel like we are totally boring....Mary how can we compete with your family adventures topped off with cute kids....and cute kids finding diamond rings!

Our weekend has almost been as exciting as the suff I mentioned above, Caleb and I worked on my website (a new one should be up soon), we went to see Toy Story 3 (which was great) and my band played a show.

I also did an advertising photo shoot with Josie, hopefully you can tell the difference between this photo and the ones taken on my phone.

Last weekend some friends of ours from Sydney came down to visit, we had a blast hanging out.

This was a rad tape player/record player.

Some of them were staying at this house that a single lady had bought but was yet to move into. She was still living at her parents....it was fun, we ate pizza and sat around on picnic chairs.

There was also a tv which we didn't use, hundreds of chick flick dvds that we didn't watch....Caleb was excited about that.

Quiet Weekends

As you know I've been a little bit slack when it comes to blogging over the last month or two. I think that the main reason for this is because we haven't really been doing much which is amazing!!!! We are usually so busy and so it's been nice to rest. I've been watching lots of project runway and Caleb has been working on his ipad app.

Last Friday Mum, Josie, Simon & I drove to Nanny's house for a day long visit. My Aunt Ginny was down visiting from the Blue Mountains so we decided it would be nice to have some family time.

We had a lovely lunch in the cafe.

Then last Sat night we went around to Henry & Tuli's for dinner, we hadn't hung out for ages....we had the best time!

Tuli is pregnant and we looked at pictures of the ultrasound. They don't know what it is, but we think we saw something in the pictures to suggest it's sex. Something that little girls don't have.

Sofia is getting so big and she is such a lovely kid!

Long Long Time

As you can see we sold our house, we are going to rent from the people who bought it until we find something we like in the city.

A couple of weeks ago we went to an AFL game with our friend Michael.

I know I haven't blogged for a while, I don't know what it is....maybe the weather, it's now winter. So I'll fill you in on some of the other things we have been up to besides AFL and selling our house.

1. We went to Sydney last weekend for Jez and Natalie's Engagement Party.

2. Caleb is still working one day a week at Parliament House for National Nine News, he is mainly doing sound and editing, his stories have been on the news. He also gets to meet famous people.

3. I've been doing lots of photo shoots and next week my photos are going to be featured on the Polk a dot bride blog.

4. We've been watching lots of project runway.

Lots of Stuff

Hello friends, sorry that it has been a little while since my last post....life has been busy!

1. We sold our house within 4 days of it being on the market. We got the price we wanted and the people are investors, so we may be able to rent back from them while we look for a house in the city to buy.

2. We had our friends Jeremy & Natalie come and stay. They are from Sydney and we had a lovely time playing games, going to the gallery and eating burgers.

3. Caleb started work experience at National Nine News.

4. I've had lots of shoots, engagement, wedding and head shots. Below are a couple of anniversary shots I did with Simon and Josie.

Mexico - Cozumel

I do believe that the boys favorite stop on the cruise was our last - Cozumel.

One reason......the ice burg.

See that giant white thing in the picture? That is the ice burg and the boys loved it! They paid $12 each to be able to play on that and all those other blow up toys for the entire day. They got so sunburnt....Caleb only finished pealing this last weekend.

The boys also got an all you can eat and drink package....now you can see why it was their favorite day!

Jessica and I had a much cheaper day, we lay on the beach and read.

Then we read some more, swam a little and slept a little.

Then we read some more.....I finished my book.
